What this covers
Get the pipework and the waterproofing right and the rest is decoration
Nearly every kitchen and bathroom that fails, fails behind the tile. A membrane skipped, a fall set the wrong way, a waste run at the wrong gradient. You will not see any of it until the ceiling below starts staining.
We do the plumbing and the tiling with the same crew, so no trade gets to blame the one before it. One schedule, one person accountable for the date.
- Kitchen strip out and full rebuild
- Cabinetry, counters and splashbacks fitted on site
- Tanking and waterproofing before any tile goes down
- Wall and floor tiling, large format included
- Plumbing reroutes, new waste runs and second fix
Before and after
Flat pack on the floor to finished kitchen
The same room photographed twice. Carcasses set out on a tiled floor, then counters, appliances, extraction and lighting. Everything between the two pictures is the job.

How a kitchen or bathroom runs
What the weeks actually look like
Most of these run four to seven weeks. The sequence never changes, only the length of it.
Site visit and measure
We measure the room properly, check where the water, waste and power actually run, and tell you what the existing layout will and will not allow.
Layout and quote
A drawn layout and an itemised quote within about three working days, materials separated from labour, with a clear list of what is not included.
Strip out
Old units, tile and fittings come out, and we find out what is behind them. Anything unexpected is photographed and sent to you the same day.
First fix services
Water, waste and power moved to the new layout, then pressure tested before anything closes up. This is the last cheap moment to change your mind.
Waterproofing, tile and cabinetry
Tanking where it is needed, then screed, tile, cabinetry and worktops. This is the stage where the room stops looking like a building site.
Second fix and handover
Taps, fittings, appliances and trim, then we walk it together and write a snag list. Everything on it gets cleared before the final payment.
Questions
Kitchen and bathroom questions
How long are we without a kitchen?
On a straight replacement, about three weeks from strip out to a working kitchen, with another week of trim and snagging going on around you. If the layout is moving and the plumbing has to be rerun, budget five to six. You get a date at quote stage, and you hear from us the day it looks like slipping rather than the week after.
Can we keep using the bathroom while you work?
Not the one being worked on. If it is the only bathroom in the house we will say so at the site visit and plan around it, usually by staging the work so the toilet goes back in first. On a second bathroom it makes no difference to you at all.
Do you fit cabinetry we buy ourselves?
Yes. Flat pack or made to order, we will fit what you supply. We just need it on site and checked before that week starts, because one missing carcass or a wrong worktop stops the whole run and the schedule slips with it.
What waterproofing do you actually use?
A liquid applied membrane over the screed and up the walls in wet areas, taped at every junction and corner, left to cure and water tested before any tile goes down. We photograph it before it is covered, so you have proof it is under there.
